ÆOLSØRET
The sculpture ÆOLSØRET is a hybrid between a humpback whales earbone, the human eardrum, a boat and an instrument.
The strings are suspended inside of the soundbox above a membran, and the strings transmit the vibration from the wind into the membrane – like the human ears membrane is tranferring soundwaves to the middle ear. ÆOLSØRET is a sculptural investigation of the hearing and listening aesthetic potential, and how hearing - and sensing is connected in the body´s sensorial system.
